About Us
Great Hyderabad Adventure Club (GHAC) is a Not For Profit Organisation (NPO) registered with the Government of India, vide Section 25 licence number :101681. We are based in Hyderabad city in the state of Telangana, India. Our Club membership comprises of like minded individuals who take part in outdoor adventure and nature connecting activities throughout the year.
* The Club Membership is free and open to everyone above 18 years. Young members above 13 years may participate with parental consent. Children above 6 and upto 12 years may participate along with parents only.
* Safety is priority for us - Our Outdoor Leaders are trained and certified in their respective fields and know first aid and emergency handling. They have significant experience with outdoor activities and work very hard to make each event a safe and enjoyable experience.

Inception
Diyanat Ali
Diyanat Ali, Founder of GHAC developed an interest for adventure and nature when he was a child and together with a small group of friends, Diyanat would go on regular treks and participate in adventure activities whenever time permitted, till May 2008, when he came up with an idea of starting a club for like minded people who were keen on experiencing adventure in and around Hyderabad.
GHAC is a volunteer based club. We have a group of about 100 trained volunteers who are called group leaders, and known as organisers on the meetup website platform. They have been chosen for their ability to lead a group and serve selflessly. The club actively looks out for experienced members who love to share their passion and give back to the community.
The experienced and trained organisers conduct a range of adventure activities from Rock climbing, Rappelling, Bouldering, Water Rafting, Sea sailing, trekking, Jungle Treks, Scaling hillocks, camping, caving, mountain climbing, para sailing, scuba diving, exploring new places and anything that spells adventure.

"GET MORE OUT OF LIFE"
The club’s philosophy "GET MORE OUT OF LIFE" prompts us to venture out in the wilderness on most weekends . The club is open to everyone, irrespective of gender, caste, creed, religion or economic status of any individual. It’s for both, the novice who wants to get started, for the amateur who wants to experiment and for the professional who want to share. Everyone with a good sense of team spirit and passion to know the world and self more thru adventure is welcome.
The age limit for membership are
Adults (18 - 60 Years) - can participate at free will.
Junior II (13-17 Years) - will need parent or guardian's written consent for participation.
Junior I (6-12 years) - can only participate along with a parent or a guardian.
- The Club's Mission is to get people together for the purposes of:
- Promote Adventure activities in Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh.
- Nature Study, Awareness, Care and Conservation.
- Leadership and Youth Development
- Provide assistance to the society during natural calamities.

The Leadership Team of the club consists of group leaders / organisers responsible for conducting adventure activity, its training and all other associated on field activities. GHAC Follows a Sociocratic Leadership Model
